潮見では人々が住み始めた当初から、造船業が町の発展に関わってきた。この地で船造りにまつわる実物の道具（船具、漁具、大工道具等）をレリーフ化していく。
まずは道具たちを真っ赤に熱し、金槌で平らになるまで叩く。何かをイメージして作るのではなく、ただひたすら叩く。
この無作為な手作業は道具から機能を取り去る「引き算」であり、ものづくりのプロセスを遡る行為とも言える。結果、残されたフォルムには鉄本来の有機的でプリミティブな姿を見出すことができるだろう。
全体のレイアウトにおいても作為を排す。
シンプルに標本のように整然と並べ、個々が際立つ事を重視している。フリーハンドのスケッチのようにも見える「道具の名残たち」は、エントランスの壁面に描かれたこの地の歴史、あるいは人々の記憶を示している。

Tokyo Bay Shiomi Prince Hotel / Koto-ku, Tokyo, Japan
Since the beginning of its inhabitants in Shiomi, the shipbuilding industry has been involved in the development of the town. Real tools (ship tools, fishing gear, carpentry tools, etc.) related to ship building will be made into reliefs in this area.
First, heat the tools bright red and hit them with a hammer until they are flat. Just hit it without imagining anything.
This random manual work is a “subtraction” that removes the function from the tool, and can be said to be an act of tracing back the manufacturing process. The resulting iron shape has an organic and primitive appearance.
Arrange these in a simple and orderly manner like a specimen, and emphasize that each individual stands out. The “remains of tools”, which look like freehand sketches, show the history of the area or the memories of people.
