1000℃の高熱を受け止め、延々と金槌で叩かれた鉄たちは、次第に体温や脈拍を内包していく。その有機的な姿は、あたかも生命を宿したかのようだ。
たくさんの「有機的」を集め、ひとつひとつ繋ぎ合わせ、海の生き物を創造する。石が敷き詰められた本作品の設置場所を海底に見立て、回遊する海亀をモチーフとした。
南国のイメージのある生き物だが、実は東京都内でも海亀の化石が多く出土している。その事実は、かつてこの近海で、たくさんの海亀たちが存在していた事を裏付ける。
現代の道具を熱して叩く行為は、鉄素材をプリミティブな姿に戻すことを意味する。その先に映し出されるのは、東京湾の太古の記憶だ。

Although it is a creature with the image of a tropical country, many fossil sea turtles have been excavated even in Tokyo. That fact confirms that many sea turtles once existed in the sea near here.
The act of heating and tapping modern tools means returning the iron material to its primitive form. The ancient memories of Tokyo Bay are projected.
