日本橋高島屋S.C.は、フロアごとに空間デザインのテーマがある。3階は「ニュートラル」だ。
ここに設置する鉄のアートワークもまた、対照的なイメージが混在し、融合させた作品にしていく。わしゃわしゃと無数に垂れ下がる葉振りの中で、まず壁の左側に広がるイメージは、地上・昼・屋外。役目を終えた鉄の道具（＝人工物）たちを熱してぺちゃんこに叩き、再構築を経て、有機的な自然物への再生を表現する。ネガポジ反転された壁面右側は、鉄板から葉の輪郭を切り抜き、地中・夜・屋内のイメージを込める。
そして両者が混ざり合う壁面中央付近がこの作品の見せ場となる。左から右に目を動かせば、叩いて平らになっていった古道具が鉄板に戻っていくように見え、右から左に目を動かせば、平らな鉄板から徐々に人工物が産み出されていくようにも見えるだろう。それは鉄が様々な道具に形を変えながら循環している姿であり、現代の産業や人々の営みを示している。
鉄は地球全体の重量の中で30%、最も多くを占める素材だ。
それ故に、太古より文明の発展に大きな影響を与えてきた普遍性がある。
このベーシックな素材を用いて、時間の流れを壁面に映し出す。
Time Vein

Nihonbashi Takashimaya S.C. has a space design theme for each floor. The third floor’s keyword is “neutral”.
The iron artwork installed here will also be a work in which contrasting images are mixed and fused. Among the innumerable hanging leaves, the image that spreads to the left side of the wall is on the ground, daytime, and outdoors. The iron tools (= artificial objects) that have finished their role are heated and beaten to the flat, and after reconstruction, the reproduction to natural objects is expressed. On the right side of the wall, the outline of the leaves is cut out from the iron plate, and the image of underground, night, and indoors are put in.
And the vicinity of the center of the wall where both are mixed becomes the leading role of this work. If you move your eyes from left to right, it seems that the old tools that have been struck and flattened return to the iron plate. If you move your eyes from right to left, it will seem that artificial objects are gradually produced from the flat iron plate. It is a figure in which iron circulates while transforming into various tools, showing the activities of modern industry and people.
Iron is the most common material on the earth weight, accounting for 30%.
Because it is a universal material, it has had a great influence on the development of civilization since ancient times.
Using this material, the passage of time is projected on the wall surface.
